Evolution Bike Frames
The bike can trace its history back to Germany for the year 1817, an inventor Karl Drais developed a push-bike – one without pedals.
Like any other invention was in fact some contribution to the change in design over the years. Other inventors who have contributed to the development of cycling is a blacksmith MacMillan Scottish Kirk, the Frenchman Ernest Michaux and Pierre Lallement and Mr Englishman James Starley – the design cycle, with very large front wheel and small back wheel was known as "ears". "safety bicycle" with two wheels at the same height in a frame of "diamond" is still in use today, was commissioned in 1885 and 1888 is been performed much more at ease with the invention of the "pneumatic", Scottish band John Boyd Dunlop.
More than a hundred years later, continuous improvement
Just over a hundred years later, the basic design> Bike has not changed, but the improvements are, however, done all the time. The "new age" materials currently in use – aluminum, titanium and carbon burning – has allowed bicycles are made only as strong as we might wish, but with the lightness that most people these days want.
Diamond bicycle frame includes a series of tubes: the main triangle consists of the head tube, Overrør, down tube and seat tube. The rear triangle consists of vertical pipe;associated chain stays and seat stays.
What are bicycle frames made? The metal in its composition is important because many factors must be considered: the density of the metal will determine how the bike is heavy, the ride comfort and rigidity affects the effectiveness of control. There is always the risk of accidents, then the strength is important – how much force permanently "deformed" metal? Consideration for the dignity crash is the extensionability of metal. And then there's the fatigue limit and the limit of endurance.
Many frames are made of steel. It has had all the best qualities needed for a picture, but its main drawback is that it is very heavy.
Aluminum is very popular for use in bicycle frames, because of its very low weight. But the problem with aluminum is that it is very easy to fold – and then broken.
Titanium is rapidly becoming an important material for frames. Is strong, andits light … and she is very expensive. Only high-end bicycles are made with titanium.
Carbon fiber is a non-metallic materials for the manufacture of bicycle frames. And 'light weight, corrosion resistance, and can be molded into almost any shape. This means that no carbon fiber has a low resistance to impact, so that is not so good for cycling. And, of course, is too expensive "
Bicycle manufacturers are always experimenting with new materials, of course. At present,Using Thermo tested, so it's magnesium.
There are days before the great development of cycling, in order to keep the helmet and go ahead!
